Synopsis-

THE SEAFARER is a chilling new play about the sea, Ireland, and the power of myth. It’s Christmas Eve, and Sharky has returned to Dublin to look after his irascible, aging brother who’s recently gone blind. Old drinking buddies Ivan and Nicky are holed up at the house too, hoping to play some cards. But with the arrival of a stranger from the distant past, the stakes are raised ever higher. Sharky may be playing for his very soul.

Meet The Cast

BOBBY HAVENS (Richard)

Bobby Havens has portrayed many a character here in the Valley: Uncle Billy in IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE (Don Bluth Front Row Theater), HC Curry in THE RAINMAKER (Hale Center Theatre), Pozzo in WAITING FOR GODOT (Ronin Theater Company), Tony Reilly in OUTSIDE MULINGAR (Stage Left Productions) and he was a 2021-22 AriZoni recipient for “best actor in a major role” for his portrayal of Morrie Schwartz in TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE (Scottsdale Desert Stages Theater). This is his 8th appearance at SLP and was last seen as Claude Pichon in Neil Simon’s THE DINNER PARTY.

Garrad Perry (SHARKY)

Garrad is thrilled to return to Stage Left after a wonderful experience doing The Country House last year. New Jersey import, Garrad has been soaking up the valley sun for four years now and has performed in eight shows for theaters across the valley. When not acting, Garrad is a professional Sinatra singer known as The G-Man.

C D Macaulay (Mr. Lockhart)

The Seafarer marks CD’s fifth show with Stage Left and eighth with Cody. In that time, he’s been a ham actor (natch), a grieving Republican power broker, an Italian
opera singer, an elf and at least a dozen wacky denizens (both male and female) of Tuna and Tinsel TX. Hope y’all have enjoyed them as much as he has enjoyed
bringing them to you. Thanks so much for coming out and supporting Stage Left.

Chris Ulbrich (IVAN)

Chris is excited to make his return to the Stage Left Productions Stage. He was last seen in Stage Left Productions of Dancing At Lughnasa, and Ripcord where he portrayed Derrick. Some of Chris’s notable roles include his AriZoni nominated performances in Stuck Moving Up and The Price of Destiny. Some of his other favorite roles include Bottom in Ghostlight Theatres production of A Midsummer Nights Dream and Guy of Gisborne in Brelby Theatres world premiere of Wolves of Sherwood. Chris would like to thank his wife for all of her love and support over the years.

Tayler AldriDGE (NICKY)

Taylor Aldridge is excited to return to Stage Left. This will be his third show here, after playing Andre in
The Dinner Party, and Gerry in Dancing at Lughnasa. He would like to extend his love and gratitude to his
wife, Megan, and his daughter, Adalynn for all of their support on this journey.
