Collected Stories confronts the prominent short-story writer Ruth Steiner with her student turned confidante turned competitor Lisa Morrison.  The women are teacher and student both in academia and in life, that they come from different social milieus, and that for her first novel, Lisa has also cannibalized Ruth’s experiences, to wit her youthful, shattering affair with the poet Delmore Schwartz.

Polly Chapman (Ruth)

Polly is delighted to be returning to Stage Left Productions in another Donald Margulies play. Thank you Cody! Polly holds a Masters of Fine Arts in theater and acting. She has taught theater and dance to young people of all ages both in her own musical theater school and at Scottsdale Community College. Polly has appeared in productions at Actors Theater, Stray Cat Theater and Stage Left Productions. In addition to directing, choreographing, acting and teaching, Polly spent 35 years as the Fry's Food Store spokesperson. She would like to thank Jeff and her family for their ever present encouragement.

Lauren Isherwood (Lisa)

Lauren is honored to be making her Stage Left Productions debut. She was most recently seen as Norma in Perfect Arrangement (Paradise Valley Community College) and Cassie in Rumors (Fountain Hills Theater). Her Oregon credits include Bridget in Nana's Naughty Knickers (Hillsboro Artists' Regional Theatre) and Nadine in Dearly Departed (Mask & Mirror Community Theatre). Other favorite roles include Dotty in Noises Off, Olive in The Odd Couple (Female Version), and Puck in A Midsummer Night's Dream. Lauren has also been known to think outside the lines and try her hand at improv. She would like to extend a very special thanks to Cody for the amazing opportunity, Polly for tackling this wonderful script with her, and Christian for being her biggest cheerleader.
